01 Guiding principle
Resolution aims to be predictable and verifiable. Each market should state its question, deadline, and the sources used, before it closes.
This is exactly what defines a prediction market: the outcome does not depend on chance or on random-outcome (RNG) mechanics, but on a real-world event determined by verifiable sources and rules disclosed in advance. FUTURAI is a non-custodial technology provider whose markets settle on verifiable events.
02 Resolution criteria
A market resolves YES or NO according to the predefined criteria published on the market page. Criteria are written to minimize ambiguity and are applied consistently.
03 Sources and oracles
Resolution relies on disclosed sources and oracles — official results, recognized data providers, or documented references. Where helpful, multiple sources and consistency checks reduce ambiguity.
04 Resolution timeline
After the event deadline, the resolution process consolidates sources and applies the published rule. Timing may vary with source availability.
05 Settlement
Once resolved, settlement is executed on-chain in USDC by the smart contract, according to protocol rules and the market criteria. The process is non-custodial: funds remain in on-chain escrow / in the user's wallet, and FUTURAI never holds or custodies funds at any point.
When funds enter via PIX, the amount is automatically converted to USDC before any participation; final settlement always occurs in USDC within the on-chain escrow.
06 Disputes
If a resolution is contested, a documented review may be opened through the complaints channel described in the Terms of Service. Decisions are based on the published criteria and the disclosed sources, not on discretion.
07 Invalid or void markets
A market may be voided if its question becomes impossible to resolve fairly — for example, if the event is cancelled or sources become unavailable. In that case, funds held in on-chain escrow are returned per the void rule for that market, in USDC. Because the process is non-custodial, the return is executed by the smart contract directly to the participant's wallet — FUTURAI does not hold these funds.
08 Edge cases
Ambiguous or borderline outcomes are resolved by the most specific applicable criterion. Where genuine ambiguity remains, conservative interpretation and documentation are prioritized.
09 Force majeure
Events beyond reasonable control may delay resolution. We aim to resolve fairly once reliable information is available.
10 Transparency
Criteria and sources are intended to be visible to participants so resolution can be reviewed rather than taken on trust.
